Missing London

We came back from an extended holiday in China on 5th June. Our plane to Munich got delayed, so we missed our flight to London and we have to take the next flight back. It was 8 o'clock when we landed at the Heathrow airport. Liu's mom picked us at the airport. It's a bit chilly in London and the weather was dull and grey. It was 14c whereas in China 35c. It's getting dark gradually, on our way back, Liu's mom has been talking about her recent misfortune. The weather, and Liu's mom's talking reminds me of my first time coming to London. At that time, I was just new to the city. Now everything looks familiar to me.

Me and Kai carried all of our stuff up to our small room which was a bit stuffy for I closed the windows before we left for china. Everything was in place covered with slight dust. I felt relaxed. I am back.

London hasn't changed much if not at all. A week's long raining welcomed us. Tube workers who aren't happy with their pay walked out of their job went for a strike again causing serious traffic problems and inconvenience for everyone. When the sun comes out, people in every park try to make the most of the sunshine and get a good tan by lying on the grass for sunbathing. Just a few Chinese restaurants closed and I am sure they will open again with a new owner and a new name.
